5 Ways to Become a Doer

Several days ago I posted on why you should be a doer. Today I wanted to post some ways you can accomplish this.
So here are 5 ways to become a doer.

1. Set Goals

Can't be stressed enough. We have a few articles just on this blog about setting goals. Please take the time to read those and use the techniques we provided. Goals get you in a state of mind that is geared towards accomplishment.

2. Find Motivation

Look for things that motivate you to act. For example, someone who is trying to loose weight will put a picture of themselves on a mirror or dresser so that they see what they look like, and another picture of a body they want to have. This can motivate them to eat healthier that day and exercise to correct the problem they see every-time they look at themselves. Here are a few good places to look for motivation, music, books, seminars, audio seminars, movies, exercise, creative arts, or even your bank account statement.

3. Get Enough Sleep

To do we need energy, and sleep plays a big part in the energy level we have throughout the day. Make sure you are getting enough sleep. If you have a sleep disability then please look into methods of fixing it. A lack of proper sleep can induce laziness.

4. Take Care of Your Health

Get enough sleep, eat healthy, exercise, to take care of your body. And don't forget your mental, emotional, and spiritual health. People have all sorts of ways of keeping themselves healthy in these areas. Find what works for you and do it regularly.

5. Build Your self-esteem

One of the biggest things that holds us back from doing is believing that we can't or that we don't deserve it. This is a direct result of having a low self-esteem. Some of the great ways to build this self-esteem is to do the previous 4 things all the time. Setting goals and achieving them does wonders to build our self worth. We can be motivated to love ourselves, and take care of ourselves. Getting enough sleep and taking care of our health will make you feel good. Not only physically but every-other way.

I am a firm believer that by incorporating these things into your life, that you will become a doer. Of course you have to DO them. Its not easy starting a fire without a match. But I know you can do it, everyone can. Easier said then done right? Well yea, but never use that as an excuse or a reason to not try. Everyone has an amazing potential, why waste it?

3 Great Tips for Setting Goals

I thought I'd write a little bit today about setting goals. After doing some research into the subject I found these three great tips for setting goals. If you use these three goal setting tips you will be on your way to achieving all you want out of life.

Goal Setting Tip #1: Where are you going?

This goal setting tip can be summed up with the title of a book I found online when I started doing research for this article. The title of the book was "If you don't know where you're going you'll probably end up somewhere else". Those words really illustrate the need for setting goals.

When you think about the title and realize that most people have no idea where they're going or what they want. It's really sad. Our minds are goal seeking computers. Just give it a specific goal and it will work to complete it. However, all most people have is vague wandering thoughts of what they want. They've never written their thoughts down in a coherent manner.

If you send a message to a friend you don't write the words down in whatever order and expect them to figure out what it says. Why do we do it to ourselves with what we want out of life?

So, the first thing I want you to do is write out your top 100 goals. Start writing a list of the things you want to accomplish in your life. I mean anything you can imagine, learning a language, taking a trip, meeting a famous or not so famous person. Write on that list everything from the littlest thing like brushing your teeth twice a day to flying in the space shuttle.

Keep making the list until you reach 100, however, don't stop there. Carry the list with you and continue to write down more goals as you think of them. It may take several hours or days to complete this list. However, it's essential that you do it.

Goal Setting Tip #2: Get specific

The second goal setting tip, get specific about the things that you want. Take your top 100 list and start with the easiest ones and write a more specific description of what you want. If it's a computer, what kind of computer, do you want a Dell, a Compaq, an Alienware. If it's a trip, where are you going, how will you get there and what will you see. If it's money, be specific. How much, why do you want it and what will you do with it when you get it. Remember, BE SPECIFIC!

Goal Setting Tip #3: It's in the want to, you'll find the how to.

Now let's discover the key to successful goal setting. Why do you want it? Think about and write on paper why you want each of the dreams on your Top 100 list. Get specific and dig deep to the emotions and feelings that are behind each one. It's in this step you'll find which ones you truly are willing to pay the price to get and which ones are not really important.

"The best way to predict your future is to create it". - Chinese Proverb

In order to create your future you have to know what you want to create. Hopefully these three tips will help you to find out what that is.

Something to Remember when Becoming an Entrepreneur

Ok so there are a lot of things to remember, but here is one thing in particular I wanted to post about today. You know a lot of these Entrepreneur books and blogs ETC. tend to be really harsh on the idea of working for someone else 9 to 5. They can be very negative about it, almost to the point of making it sound like your an idiot if you do work for someone else 9 to 5. Even Joey and I talk about its flaws and basicly why it sucks. But all that said, it is very importnat to be thankful for what you do have. Fact of the matter is that millions of people struggle just to get food everyday. So even if you are working 9 to 5, if you are making enough money to live, then you have been blessed. Obviously we want to strive to become an entrepreneur and using our unhappiness with our current job as motivation can really be helpful. It is important that we get out of the "comfort zone". But when all is said and done, if we are still working 9 to 5, at least we can be happy that we our fortuante to have what we have.

Why a Cleaning Service? And which one?

I don't know if you noticed but the Cleaning Service is our Entrepreneur Idea of the week. So I wanted to right a few posts on this business. Now I know it may not be your number one a choice. But it can be done part-time as I mentioned in my previous post. Here is a few more reasons why a cleaning service may be something to consider.

Whats so great about running a cleaning service?
Well like any other job, there are pluses and minuses.
But if done correctly the pluses can greatly out weight the minuses. I would like to spotlight the positives of the cleaning business. Here is what I have gathered from my experience and research:

Make your own schedule
Make good money
Very low start up cost
Plenty of clients available
Can be done part time or full time
Great supplemental income
Looks great on resume
Great job security (things always need cleaned)
Ability to consolidate work
Builds experience business management
Almost anyone can do it.

Well there are a few reason to consider starting your own cleaning business.

Now what kind of cleaning service is good for you?
There are several different types of cleaning services, and we need to consider what makes them different from each other.

The Maid cleaning service focuses mainly on residential homes. This is preferred by women usually. The work is typically light, and for a home, many people appreciate a mothers touch. Sometimes you will be cleaning around items that are sentimental and priceless to the client. So utmost care is a must. Jobs tend to be small.

The Janitor cleaning service focuses mainly on office cleaning. This is great for men and women alike. It is usually a solid routine, and very little varies from job to job. Most of the time it will be evening work however. This can be a good thing or bad depending on who your are. Jobs can be small or very big depending on the office or warehouse. Also window cleaning is a great avenue for the janitor.

The Carpet cleaning and floor care service goes residential and commercial. This is typically preferred by men. Residential takes very little start up, while the commercial can require more expensive equipment. Everybody has carpet and this is a very lucrative cleaning service.

These are the main three cleaning services. They are all great businesses. The wonderful thing about cleaning is they can all be started for low start up cost. So go out there and give it a try!
